While ABA is more popularly known for treating intellectual and learning difficulties such as autism and ADHD, the application of its evidence-based strategies can be more expansive and exhaustive. Human behavior encompasses everything we do in our day-to-day lives. It is involved in our daily habits, social interactions, academics, professional work, self-care, and much more! Believe it or not, it is in our thoughts and feelings too. ABA strategies help us understand how behavior works in the context in which it is occurring. That is, why do we do the things we do? And why aren’t we doing the things we want to do—or even consistently doing them? With this understanding, clients can take a more conscious approach and actively participate in life in ways that align with their values. This results in an enriched and fulfilling life for any child, adolescent, or adult. Where behavior occurs, ABA can help.
CMC also provides support for families and caregivers.
