Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy is a mental health treatment approach that is achieved by talking with a qualified mental practitioner such as a psychologist, psychiatrist, or other mental health practitioners. Psychotherapy Approaches In our centre, psychotherapy is offered by our highly qualified psychologists who use one or more of the following approaches:
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) – This therapy approach focuses on how our unhelpful ways of thinking can affect how we feel and how we behave in ways that can worsen our emotional problems.
  • Dialectic Behavioural Therapy (DBT) – It is a type of CBT that focuses on helping people control extreme negative thoughts and intense and complex emotions that may be destructive, for example, chronic suicidal thoughts or excessive anger.

  • Psychodynamic Psychotherapy – It focuses on the psychological roots of emotional suffering. Its hallmarks are self-reflection and self-examination and the relationship between therapist and patient as a window into problematic relationship patterns in the patient’s life.
  • Group Therapy and Program – It is a form of psychotherapy facilitated by a psychologist or another mental health practitioner. The group aims to target one specific problem, such as a mental condition or equipping members with social or life skills in a group set-up. The group meets once a week for an hour or 2 hours.
